the traveller's choice
Canon make two lenses in the 70-200mm
range, one is the f/2.8 with Image Stabilization ("IS"), and
the other is this one, f/4.0 without IS. For me, the choice was not
just one of cost: this lens is a bit smaller and lighter to carry when
travelling. The hood is made of plastic, unlike the f/2.8 version which
comes with a metal hood.
