medium format

Vintage folding medium format cameras are ideal for their relatively compact size, while producing gloriously huge negatives. I use two such cameras; both produce 12 frames of 6 x 6cm on 120 rollfilm, which is readily available in a wide variety of emulsions.

The Pentacon Six medium format SLR is a good quality camera if you can get past the dodgy film advance mechanism found on some copies. The optics available for the Pentacon mount are first-class. Either 120 or 220 film can be used.
