What can one say about a bunch of hollow cylinders? The important thing
is that the electronic contacts work, and that they are relatively robust.
These pass both tests. They don't have a Canon "feel" about
them (unless you consider a lens like the 50mm f/1.8 to represent Canon's
feel), but who cares?
