We left Dijon this afternoon and travelled
north to Paris. |

| Inside the Louvre, this ancient Greek
sculpture depicts a goose being strangled to within an inch of its life by a young brat. |
Inside St Chapelle, one of the most outstanding cathedrals
in Paris. We attended a baroque concert here the night after this photograph was taken,
featuring adagios of Bach, Vivaldi, Pachelbel, Albinoni, Barber, and others. |

| A surreptitiously taken photograph inside the Salvador
Dali museum, where cameras were not permitted. The sculpture depicts the trademark soft
watch of Dali. |
The weather changed! This is a view of the Paris sky line
taken from the rooftop of the famous Sanmaritaine department store. |

We ate Vietnamese food every night we were in Paris, apart
from the one night that we ate Japanese food instead. Not only is it excellent here
(Vietnam, was, of course, a former French colony), it is also terrific value compared to
the heavily touristed "French" restaurants. For lunch we generally ate big
salads - I can be seen tucking into one (made of smoked salmon, smoked halibut &
salmon eggs) above. |
