September: Gibraltar.
The weather looked dubious when we arrived fresh off the train from Ronda, and "The

| This picture was taken about 10 feet away from
the border, on the Spanish side. |
Walking around Gibraltar was like being
somewhere in the UK, with a myriad of pubs and duty free shops. |

| We took the gondola up to the top of the rock.
This shot was taken from about half-way up, as the view from the top was obscured by
cloud. |
The Barbary macaques which dwell on the
mountain top are the only wild primates found in Europe, and are pretty cool little
animals. This one has a baby on board as well. |

| St Michael's Cave was known to Greek
travellers at the time of Ullysees, when it was thought to be the entrance to Hades (the
Underworld). |
Just to prove we really are in the UK here....

| 20 September - This morning, all the
cloud was gone and the Rock could be seen in all its glory. |
We left Gibraltar and boarded a ferry in the Spanish town
of Algeciras, bound for Tanger, in Morocco. Here, you see Gibraltar in the mist shortly
after leaving port. |
